The Michigan House Freedom Caucus officially added State Rep. Joseph Fox to its roster today. The caucus is composed of several Republicans within the House of Representatives who have resolved to further the causes of personal liberty, free markets, and family values. Fox, the newest member of the Freedom Caucus, also assumed the role of Dean, a position in which he will pray before caucus meetings. As a pastor, Rep. Fox is both well-suited and grateful for this role.

“Faith, family, and freedom are three critical principles that guide me as an elected official,” said Fox, of Fremont. “I am excited to advance the causes currently in the works by the Freedom Caucus, with legislators who hold to the same ideals.”

“Rep. Fox’s commitment to traditional conservative values will serve him well as a state representative,” said Michigan House Freedom Caucus Chair Rep. Steve Carra. “His constituents will be grateful for his steadfast pursuit of advancing liberty and limiting government. I have appreciated Rep. Fox’s insights thus far, and look forward to working with him in this legislative session.”

Several Republican representatives lead the Freedom Caucus: Chair Rep. Steve Carra, Vice Chair Rep. Matt Maddock, Secretary Rep. Neil Friske, and Parliamentarian Rep. Angela Rigas. Rep. Fox works in S-1385 in the Anderson House Office Building. Residents with questions or concerns can reach out by calling (517) 373-0825 or by emailing [email protected].
